    Hello professor,
Can you suggest what should we take for LW Eng? BPP workbook or study text for concepts and knowledge?
I have never used workbook in any subject. I need your guidance. Thank you.

Max, I could probably be faulted for many things in my character but I’m pleased to claim that inconsistency is not amongst those shortcomings.

Since I started teaching law – way back in Olden Times – my recommendation has always been to save your money and avoid buying a study text. I have no doubt whatsoever that the study texts of both the approved publishers are phenomenally accurate and comprehensive to the nth degree.

That makes them excessively long, heavy-going, some might say tedious. And, in my opinion, much much too detailed for the requirements of an ACCA student.

Read the course notes – start to finish it can be done in a tad over two hours. Just read, don’t try to learn / memorise. Just read. Probably once each week between now and your exam date.

Watch the videos – as often as you can bring yourself to do so, but at least twice and hopefully more often.

Acquire a Revision Kit (20% discount if ordering from BPP through OpenTuition – see the yellow box on this page) and spend hour after hour practicing exam style questions from the Revision Kit.

Read the notes, watch a lecture and then tackle the appropriate questions on that topic from the Revision Kit

Endless hours of question practice. Endless repetition of questions. And DON’T indicate your answers in the Revision Kit itself. Separate sheet of paper. In that way, subsequent efforts will not be influenced by earlier attempts.

And, of course, when you hit a brick wall in your understanding, post again on this Ask ACCA Tutor page and I shall get back to you.

But don’t buy a study text.

    OK?
