You are advised to avoid loading your RAP at the very last minute to reduce frustration and stress.
a) The student portal for submission can be very congested with the last minute rush – you may have to keep logging on again and again if the site crashes because of this
b) If you have a problem with your files and you need to contact OBU, you are far more likely to get a reply more promptly (possibly within 24 hours) if your RAP is loaded several days before the close and you contact them immediately, as the OBU staff will have more time to deal with issues when there is a steady flow of submissions rather than a flood (when it could take a week or even two for example for queries received on or after 20th May.
c) There is absolutely no guarantee that if you mess up with loading the wrong files that your submission will be accepted for Period 30 unless it can be corrected before the deadline. In fact the evidence I’ve had from the past is that OBU are quite strict in applying the rules (they tend to be very firm on this because there have been abuses in the past apparently)
d) You will feel very relieved when the ‘weight’ of the RAP is removed from your shoulders and you can then relax once it has gone off and – of course – you have checked your submission confirmation and ensured it is correct!!!!!
e) if you are sitting exams getting the RAP out of the way now will give you more time to focus on your exams
So don’t delay, once your RAP is complete submit it after you have gone through the Info Pack checklist Appendix 6, my Forum checklist for P30 (which includes submitting tips for the files) and my special ADDITIONALl checklist for anyone submitting their RAP on T17 (See p.9 of this topic for this)
So remember don’t sit on it, SUBMIT IT – for your own sake to avoid putting yourself under unnecessary stress – you know it makes sense!! 😀

@Allen – you have hit the nail on the head – Turnitin has matched your 2nd attempt to your 1st! This demonstrates that there is no right or wrong score for Turnitin as it depends what it is matching your work to. University examiners are well trained in how to use Turnitin as a plagiarism tool – for that is what it is – just one of several tools used – and as with all forensic work, human intervention is required to interpret it properly .
I suppose your ultimate score will depend if your college Turnitin database is linked to OBU’s (most universities are linked). If you think about this logically if it is, it would have returned the high score anyway at OBU merely because it had ‘seen’ the work before at your college (the first time you put it through). I would suggest you chill on this – you know the 92% is rubbish and you know it has not been plagiarised to anyone else. As for worrying about the original 12% – my own Masters dissertation had a score of 26% although it was totally original. As I said at the beginning there is no wrong or right score…. and OBU has stressed that students who have done their work themselves have nothing to fear, so again just chill! 🙂
Although I initially wrote this for previous submission periods it also applies to P30!
Is there any way error made during uploading of Rap could be rectified at the moment?
@kayfabuacca – This is not the type of question we can answer with authority on this Forum. Your resubmission receipt should state the names of the files that have been uploaded. If the system did not issue a confirmation of the successful upload and this receipt then your files were not uploaded.
Any problems in uploading which prevent you completing a submission, reloading or where the receipt showed the wrong files can only be dealt with my the OBU Office. See the Information Pack for their email address.
This re-iterates the importance to not leaving your submission to the last minute as fortunately by sensibly trying to upload now there is time for this to be resolved well before the deadline next week 🙂
