WHY INTELLENGTLY SMART PEOPLE FAIL

Have you tried giving some mock answers of yours to an independent person and asking then critically to appraise your efforts? It doesn’t have to be an accountant / auditor. All that is necessary is that they are educated and honest ( if necessary, brutally honest ). I presume that you don’t have a tutor and you’re not attending any courses.

Are you writing enough? 25 separate, markable, relevant points for a 25 mark question? Is your writing legible? Are you attempting 100% worth of marks in the exam – or are you missing off parts of questions? Is your time allocation correct and you are not maybe stealing from part c in order to complete part ab of a question? Are you really answering the question – paying GREAT attention to the verb?”
