I am not sure who is the right person to contact in this case but i would like to summarize my situation.
I am an ACCA student and I have completed 13 exams. I also have MBA and local CPA.
I am not sure if becoming an ACCA is an unfortunate event because I have been taking the last exam P7 since 5 times and still its a fail mark i am having.
The other unfortunate thing is that I don’t have access to my paper and I have no idea where the mistake is. I am reading the exam reviews and the answers but they do not help me since I think I don’t deserve a failing mart at least in the last two papers.
I applied for a review and paid 50 GBP and all i get is a confirmation that my mark is correct and few attachments of examiner general review and the answer sheet.
I really don’t know what to do at this stage and I don’t think this is a difficult paper but I have no clue at this stage what is REALLY EXPECTED from us to pass.
I have never faced anything like this in my life before and it is frustrating.
ALL I NEED IS A PROPER FEEDBACK TO PASS AND FINISH THIS ACCA PLEASE.
Is there any way any one can suggest me?
September 4, 2012 at 7:43 am #104757Dear friend,
you need not give up at all, you’ve done quite well passing 13 papers in all.please download & read this articles first https://accastudent.newsweaver.co.uk/images/7062/11242/2893365/Options.pdf. the article give a prequesite knowledge required at the fundamental level (f8) for paper p7. make sure you’re comfortable with the required syllabus contents.
secondly, i’ll advice you enroll with major ACCA Approve Learning Partner (ALP) they know the right content & straight to the point you go.
it looks to me you have all the time to prepare for this paper, i’ll advice you learn balance sheet audit using both substantive & control tests. know the audit programme as well as procedure for each item of income statement & financial position. your knowledge of f7 & p2 is very key here.
i wish you the very best!

Thanks for the advice but I have done them all. Although I have passed rest 13 from home study I even took LSBF lecture for P7.
Even if there is a problem with my paper my argument is that there is something wrong with the expectations or MARKING of this paper since 31% is passing from such a simple topic. And it never improves even if they request the same thing from examiner reviews. How can that be?????
The worst thing is that there is no place you can really try to understand why this is like this.
September 6, 2012 at 12:56 pm #104759sincerely, i feel you personally but the truth is, nothing spectacular ever comes out of admin review. i read in an article where only 1 out of 88 (not sure, i think is more than 88) who asked for admin review got an upgrade.
i’ll advice you leave the past behind & be forward looking. you may want to change ALP now & it’s important you study hard/smart also. you will make it this time.
i wish you good success.
September 7, 2012 at 3:25 pm #104760I had the same struggle with F9 until I followed simple advice. I did all the past papers from 2007 to date and finally passed. I realised that no matter how well you read the study text you have to master how the exam questions are actually put across by actually doing the past exams. Simple. Now if you have done that many past papers, the next thing is exam technique. please read SA April 2012. Good luck
September 12, 2012 at 5:32 am #104761It is really unfortunate to come to a point at the final stage of ACCA that ACCA is not giving much support at this extend.
Basically I can’t get a proof that I have failed and why I failed although it is the last exam and i have been taking this number of times.
Also I still believe that there is something missing in communicating the expectations to their students if 70% of the people are failing (some taking multiple times) such a straight forward topic.
