Does anyone know a reason for which ACCA publishes the answers to the exam questions so late?
It is now more than a month and a half since I sat my exam and the answers are still not published.
Sometimes, I have the feeling that they do this on purpose , so that by the tiime they publish the answers , you already forgot what you answered.
So they ask us to write up the exam in 3 hours and they take more than a month and a half to publish the answers ! it is outrageous !

I don’t know the reason but i am sure they usually get published about 3 weeks before results. I think maybe the end of this week beginning of next.

Your not the only one it drives me crazy aswell.

No they are published 10 days before the results so… yeah you have to wait a lot for the answers!

It appears that they really take their time with these answers. Well, that makes me think of the scenario that by the time they publish the answers all the papers are already marked in such a way that the pass rates would be kept at the required level.
Now, I know that ACCA is a professional body and that we should not think that they could possibly do this, but still …..it is very unprofessional to post the answers sooo late. Does anyone know if there is a place where I could complain about this ?

You can complaing directly to ACCA by filling a form on their website and describing your point of view.

Personally I do not watch that much the answers. For me they could be released after mark reveal.
I just give them a quick glance and don’t look until next session (If fail)

Best of luck in Your Results!

I think they wait until after the marking is complete to make sure that students didn’t make unexpected assumptions about questions. If it turns out that a question is ambiguous (rare, I think) and many students answered it differently to what was expected, ACCA look at the question to see if the alternative interpretation was reasonable. If so the model answers and marking scheme would be changed to accommodate that.

Sir Gromit you say that there are ambigities in the exam rarely. Do you have an idea how often this happens – is it one in every exam paper, sesion or are you saying rarly is every ten years ? How often is rarely? I thouht the Acca had a system where the exam was sat by a qualified person to try to get rid of ambigities. Your post has now got me worried that if i read something not in the same way as the examiner maent it am i going to lose marks
