Why can’t we review our own exams?

When I did my Dutch BSc in Accountancy, after getting my exam results, I had the option to have my own exam work sent to me including marking details, so that I could review where I had gone wrong, learn from my mistakes and focus on that when preparing for the same exam again.

Why doesn’t give ACCA that option? I would love to know how I can improve on APM which I failed for the second time in June. I’m obviously aware of the mock exams, past exams and exam kits, but my interpretation of what’s “right” might not be entirely the same.

I’ve always found it very helpful to review my own work when necessary.
