I work in a small independent accounting firm. I am confused who can sign ACCA PER, my employer is not a ACCA approved employer, which I could not find on the ACCA approved employer list. But my manager is registered accountant.
I am not sure who can sign off for PER, whether the employer must be an approved employer on ACCA lists, or anyone who is registered as accountant, or must an accountant is registered with ACCA.
Can an accountant registered with ACA or CIMA can sign off ACCA PER?
Can someone give me some ideas please?
Thanks
See here in FAQs https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/help/student-faqs-practical-experience-requirements.html your employer does not need to be approved (indeed you could be self-employed). You will find further links on this page to who can be a supervisor. (And yes – ICAEW and CIMA are also member bodies of IFAC – so does not have to be ACCA.)
Thanks for the information.
You are most welcome!
