Friday would be best, so that we can have the weekend to celebrate if positive, or process the negative result in our mind and plan ahead. But Monday morning isn’t the best start of a work week, and it is released also very late at night (given that we go to work on Mondays..). I find the results release time very stressful, personally.
If it’s released at midnight then Friday or Saturday for sure. If it’s got to be a Sunday then an earlier time would be better…midday or something. I’m sure the ACCA will have a reason for releasing them at midnight on a Sunday?….

I think ACCA release results on Monday morning has something to do with administraive resources i.e. they must be having staff to answer any post-results enquiries from students and if they releae results on Friday mid night then they will hv to keep additional staff during the weekend which adds to the costs?
But it us released in the morning, so u won’t have feeling to work at all. I will prefer Saturday morning, do we can celebrate in the afternoon or on Sunday.
I am surprised that so many vote for Monday. This means Sunday midnight I.e early Monday which is working day. I remember in 2014 we received the results early Saturday which give us the time to recover whether pass or fail.
Monday is fine for me. The day of the week is not something that makes any difference to me at all, I just wish we didn’t have to wait so long for results, i.e. over a month. The amount of money all of us pay, both students and members, must be more than enough to simply hire more markers/improve efficiency through better use of IT etc. so we can get our results back within 4 weeks rather than the current 5 weeks.
Another thing I don’t like (though admittedly it’s not, strictly speaking, what is under consideration here) is that the results are released at midnight. For those of us who are working (which I’m guessing is around 99% of us), it’s very hard not to stay up and wait for results, so pass or fail we end up with a bad night of sleep. Why not release them at a much more civil time, like 9 am? or maybe 6 pm?
Exactly , that is why Monday is not a good day to release the results. Because results are sent early morning hours we end up zombies at work. If ACCA wants to sent them midnight early Saturday or Sunday is fine. Otherwise to send them in a more civilize time
Definitely Friday or Saturday. Waiting until Monday is too agonizing … the suspense is too much!
Definitely Friday, Sunday or Monday morning is just harsh specially if the result is not favourable. The wait over the weekend leading to Sunday evening is just painful.
Friday evening or Saturday morning would be best for me! And even if it did have to be released on Sunday night / Monday morning, the time could be a lot better. Either do it at say 9PM Sunday night or 5AM Monday morning…not the middle of the night!
Friday so that I can get p.ssed if I fail and p.ssed if I pass. lol (Just kidding,I only drink alcohol like once or twice a year and never ever got drunk in my life, not even tipsy.)
But seriously, Friday because once when I failed, I naively stayed up until I got the text message from ACCA with my result and I got so angry that I failed that I couldn’t fall asleep, I was crying and then I slept ONE hour and it was a Monday morning and I had to go to work after 1 hour of sleep and then the entire week (Mon-Fri , 9-5) was a damn struggle.
I think Friday evening or Saturday morning would be better than Monday morning.
