What was your result for period 26 Oxford Brookes University RAP?

Hello,

To pass the OBU ensure first of all you follow the OBU guidelines to the letters. I read the whole guidelines twice and highlighted all the key areas. Secondly, always focus on the grid where it shows the different grades and what you need to do. As you start building your RAP and along the way until your first draft, keep an eye on the grid and rate yourself. Ensure you demonstrate IT skills by including charts or graphs and extract of financial statements in excel as appendices.

Everything is easy if you follow exactly what they are asking for in the guidelines. Choose a proper mentor .
For your SLS, keep it simple and it is about reflection and not narration.
PowerPoint- 15-17 slides are enough which you can deliver in 15 mins to your mentor.
Keep the slides clear and use charts, graphs to illustrate figures , big fonts.

Is there anywhere on the OBU website where they publish the entire list of qualifiers? Just a matter of interest. I wanted to know how many from my country Malawi.

Does anybody know, if ACCA average score has .5. Do OBU round it up or down? Eg. 67.5 would be treated as 68 or 67?

Yes, when you have .8 the it’ll be obviously rounded up. But I wonder how do they round something with .5. Because some people round it up and some people round it down.

Hi everyone, I just received the OBU confirmation, result letter and one copy of academic transcript by post. However, there is no formal bachelor degree certificate like other university graduation. I do not know whether we have to attend the graduation ceremony in order to receive formal bachelor degree or OBU would send to us later on ?

Also, I can email you a copy of my RAP only ,as I have already achieve a pass mark in the SLS, so that you can have a look and provide me with your guidance.

The Result Letter recommends students to revise only unsuccessful areas; whereas previous pass marks in successful areas will be carried forward (providing these sections are not amended). However the resubmission guide 2012-13 states that when resubmitting the RAP, same must be updated with the latest available financial statements (Topic 8), implying that most of the project areas have to be amended. (Please refer to 2nd paragraph of section 9(b) on page 7 of the resubmission guide 2012 – 2013)

My RAP title was topic 8, thus I should update my research with the latest available financial statements. But if I update my research report with latest financials, how will the previous passing marks be carried forward?

Finally, please note that the company chosen in my RAP is still preparing its audited annual report 2013.. While the comparator’s financial year is on 30th of September, therefore, its audited annual report for 2013 is not yet available. Please advise how should I proceed
