Mike,
I have done P7 three time failing real badly. I passed
P2 a while back and realize that I do not remember
treatment for IAS’s. Do you suggest that I go through first
all IAS’s before I take up another study session?Pearly awaiting.
Thank you
May 7, 2018 at 6:12 am #450403No, I doubt that that would be the best use of your time
Have you identified the probable reasons for having failed “really badly”?
Have you previously asked advice on this forum or is this your first visit to P7 Ask ACCA Tutor?
Let me know and we’ll see what’s best for you (hopefully!)

I do not remember IAS treatments etc. I am not certain how to answer questions.
Are you saying not to go through IAS ‘s then? Yes I have asked questions here before.
I have been on OT for the past seven (7) years. All suggestions welcome.
Thank you
May 9, 2018 at 6:57 am #450720Pearly, there’s barely time to start reading through IASs and IFRSs let alone learning them
My suggestion is that you should start reading (just reading) past exam questions and answers from a revision kit
Those questions where accounting standards are involved have answers that are in more than sufficient detail for you to appreciate the effect of those standards
And frequent repetition of reading those answers (as you would read a novel) will cement that knowledge sufficient for you to walk into that exam room with a healthy degree of confidence
But you need to start reading that revision kit about 4 weeks ago! Where have you been?
Whatever, open the book today and start reading from page 1 and read it from cover to cover as many times as you can and then, in 17 days’ time, post again and we’ll try to improve your exam technique with some simple pointers
Read also the examiner’s comments from the last 3 years and also read the last 10 technical articles
Post again on this forum whenever you feel the need
OK?
