hi ya guy, just wondering what is going to be add to the course syllabus and what will be removed for the next exam 🙂

well, topics that were excluded from F2 syllabus are now moved to F5 , like short-term decision techniques and topics . Some topics were excluded from F5 and moved to P5 and P3.

Additons
* Specialist Cost & Management Accounting Techniques– Environmental accounting. You will need to be able to discuss the issues businesses face in the management of environmental costs and how businesses can account for environmental costs.* Decision-Making Techniques – Cost Volume Profit Analysis. Break even analysis is a tool used by management to provide information about their products. This requires you to calculate and interpret break even points for single and multi-product situations, prepare and interpret profit volume and break even charts and discuss the limitations of this technique.
* Decision-Making Techniques – Pricing. You will now be required to determine prices and output levels for profit maximisation using the MC = MR based approach.
* Standard Costing and Variance Analysis – Sales mix and yield variances. In addition to materials mix and yield variances you will be required to calculate and identify the cause of sales mix and yield variances.
Deletion
To make room for the additions and to remove any overlap with Performance Management (P5), the following has been removed from the syllabus:
* Implications of switching costing techniques for pricing, sales strategy,performance management and decision-making.
* Back-flush Accounting (old section A4).

PRINT OUT SYLLABUS! that is a must! and keep it in front of you al the.
we will now follow index of any book . We will follow official ACCA syllabus and use different books, not only kaplan and BPP , but them as well 🙂

Our session will be as said by ansi first of all about study text.
We will discuss chapters in detail after self reading.
This will explain the text book in detail by discussing on the forum or chat section.

Hi guys,
I have on older BPP Study Text and can`t afford buying the new one, as I have to pay a special center fee plus the exam fee for ACCA. So, I tried to make some research work on the additions to F5. My major problem is that I red an article and the author said that using old F2 study text for Relevand Cost analysis and Cost volume profit analysis is not enough, as well as for other new topics. I don`t want to waste my chances of passing the exam because of that.
If any of you bought the new study text, can you tell me if the differences are that great?
