AFMWhat is the differences b/w ACQUISITIONS vs MERGERS???

acquisition is that where one entity gains control over other entity's financial and operating policies (governs it) and merger is that where two entities merge with each other , you can say its sort of joint venture eg merger of price water house and coopers and librand (audit firms) now its called pwc because they are merged now, you can also say that its sort of consortium b/w two org.hope u got it.
