Hi Guys
I am looking to do 2 papers in September but just wondered what is the best two papers to do? Whats peoples opinions and experiences of sitting them? The papers are P1, 2 and 3
Cheers
Richie
Anyone?
Hi,
P2 is a very tough paper with a lot of calculation involved and many students prepare it as standalone.
P1 & P3 are both “wordy” papers where you will need to apply theory and models to specific scenarios. You will not get many marks for just recalling everything you have learnt, so practise of many past questions is still vital.
P1 syllabus is relatively narrow compared to P3 so, maybe P1 and P2 could be a nice, balanced combo. However, the subjects in P1 are not everyone’s cup of tea… It can become tedious after a while.
On the other hand, I think P1 and P3 together would be too much.
I will sit P2 and P3 in September but I already work in a financial reporting department so I can rely on my practical experience at least for P2. Not sure if that is of any help…
Hi Palmy
That’s great, that what I was thinking as well. Don’t think I could manage two written exams.
Thanks for your advice.
I’m planning P2 first
I believe P2 covers some of P1 (told by lecturer) so I think P1/P2 would be good.
Good luck!
