    please explain why it would be necessary to do an average of beta equity for all investments in a portfolio. What is meant by Alpha values?

    Is this done in practise?.

    Both of these are covered in detail in my free lectures on CAPM (and I am sorry, but you cannot expect me to type out all of the relevant lectures here 🙂 )

    And yes – they are both relevant in practice 🙂
