Hello jhon could you please explain me why 0.74 is taken instead of 0.70 I mean we are receiving the ARD right ?? So when we exchange this in the country which uses japenese yen the the bank will offer 0.70 jpn per ard right ?? Like i would be very helpful if you tell me how this works
Thank you
The reason that the bank quotes two rates is so that they can make a profit 🙂
So as a result, the rate we use whichever of the two rates is the worst for us.
Do watch the first of my free lectures on foreign exchange risk management, because I start this lecture spending time on which rate to use (and why), and the way I remember how to decide quickly 🙂
