Dear tutor,
i would like to seek for advise on regards the Corporate and Business Law paper which i had took many sittings and i can’t get thru yet… since i going to study again for the subject, i was thinking shall i change the variant from Malaysia to England. before that, could i know is that a big difference in between?
i want to pass the paper and look for good guidance now. highly appreciate your reply.
August 7, 2012 at 10:30 am #102473Hi. It’s a problem isn’t it! I have no idea how close Malaysian variant / law is to English law. The English variant has a LOT of cases involved in the contract law section and, although it’s NOT ESSENTIAL that you should know the names, a knowledge of the principles established by those cases is important.
Similar principles are involved in the Global law variant, but there seems to be rather less emphasis on the cases.
I suggest that it may be an idea for you to consider the Global variant! That may seem like a lot of “new” work but, if you check out the past exams for Global variant side by side with the English variant, you’ll find that they are exactly the same for around 50% – 60%
