The total direct labour cost is the standard cost of the actual hours worked less the rate variance (deducted because it is favourable and thus actual expenditure is below standard
sir the question was
The direct Labour rate variance in the month just ended was $1,908 favourable.
What was the total direct labour cost in the month?
sir for this question why are we doing this way?
it should be Labour rate + Labour efficiency = Labour cost
i dont get this formula sir above and its favourable yet being subtracted?
which concept is it? please explain me?
A favourable cost variance means that the actual cost is less than the standard cost.
