Hi sir..kindly explain the following
what is the difference between value engenring and value analysis..i only know both techniques for cost comtrolling.Q2..diffence between mangemnt of cost and controlling cost
September 10, 2015 at 9:04 am #270971Neither term is mentioned in the syllabus for Paper F5!
However value analysis is examining the systems and design, value engineering is then modifying the systems and design (having done the analysis).
Managing and controlling costs mean the same.
September 10, 2015 at 9:09 am #270972Thanx..actually i read this under target costing..
September 10, 2015 at 3:56 pm #271071Although it fits with target costing, it can not be specifically asked about 🙂
September 10, 2015 at 3:57 pm #271075Hmm..thanx
September 10, 2015 at 4:24 pm #271093Our lectures stress the importance of re-examining the design (which is what this is referring to) but there is absolutely no need to refer to it in the exam as ‘value engineering’ 🙂
