Hi sir i just wanna clarify something, it is true that value analysis enhances the value of a product at the lowest cost. but does it discourage innovation? and is value analysis somehow is a planned, scientific approach to cost reduction?

Yes – the aim is to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality.
I am not sure scientific is quite the right word, but it is certainly a planned approach.

As far as discouraging innovation – not at all (provided that it is managed properly).
