    Hi Kim,

I am a non-native English speaker and during my exam practice I struggle with using the correct verbs when describing substantive procedures. Can you please share any tips to ensure I use the right verbs?

    Many thanks

Hello Annelien – thank you for following up the online chat with this post.

I think what should be most useful to you is the “vested interest” interest article which you will find here https://opentuition.com/acca/aa/aa-exam-technique-you-have-a-vested-interest-in-good-answers

As well as explaining the examiner’s choice of verbs, there is a quiz in s.4 where you can suggest verbs to describe audit procedures which you can then compare against a suggested solution.
