    Hello everyone,
I have completed my “Accounting diploma” and got exemption F1-F6. Now which one would be good for me,F7 or F9 (i want to take just 1 paper for December’12). I’ll be very glad if you suggest me.

Thank you for reading & God bless us all.

    Hey,

well , it depends on your preferences and background.

Simply think in which field you are stronger.

    I would go for F7 🙂

If you decide to take 1 paper at the time, take them consecutively, i.e. F7, F8 etc.

Personally, when I choose my next paper…:

    1. …I look through syllabuses. For example, if I had to choose between F7 and F9 I would read syllabuses for these papers and then see if F9 can be taken before F7, is there any connection between these two papers, which paper I feel more comfortable with etc.

    2. …I check exam dates and see which day is more suitable for me to take an exam. For example: if you are invited to a friend’s birthday party on Saturday (say, 8 Dec) then you wouldn’t like to take exam next Monday (10 Dec) as partying on Saturday would distract your preparations for exam. Therefore you would choose a paper which has an exam date set before 8 Dec.

    3. …I choose easier papers to study for December exams rather than June exams. This is because in the second half of the year days are becoming shorter and evenings getting darker therefore I feel less active, sleepier and less willing to learn 🙂

    4. …(lastly but not always) I check what is going on at my work. For example: F5 – Performance Management is mainly about planning. So if at your work the planning period is in March then you might wish to study F5 towards June exam. This is because whatever you study might be more meaningful if at the same time you can get practical experience at work.

    Hope this helps! 😉

Maybe they’ll help you to make your mind up.
