I put forward a proposal since the 2nd of Oct. 2014 and no one responded to it. I don’t think it is just about showing interest but rather moving forward with this interest.
I am suggesting a topic on Foreign exchange management. What are the basic steps or procedure that can be used in answering a scenario question on Foreign exchange management

@modede, foreign exchange mgmt sounds good. At the same time can we look at the options, futures calculation. I still can’t make up how and when to choose call or buy option.
@fausthel, what do you think?Tutor sir, your guidance will be needed too. Previously, I did ask for the answer explanation, no one has replied. So, I had to ask the tutor in a separate thread. Not sure if people are just waiting for us to knock on their door and drag them to study with.
Great, we can get started. For a start, indeed the suggested topic is great as I also have challenges with futures and options.
We can agree on a set time for this online discussion, by selecting questions from the revision kits. For now we can start with Question 1 of last sitting.

@haseenababu and @modede there is a way of solving futures and money market hedge but i suggest we practice more questions as well.
its called 4Cs + TEN meaning :
1.C-Contract set up-a)Choose type of contract-T
b)Choose an expiry date-E
c)Choose number of contracts-N
2.C-Calculate basis/Premium
3.C-Close out futures
4.C-Convert/Calculate futures outcomeHow to know which one? Put or call? I did some questions in bpp revision kit. Did get hold of the topic. Still blurr with put or call.
We don’t have to set date and time to discuss. Just follow the flow. If anyone gonna wait for the date, I’m it will be past 2nd Dec.
@haseenababu i usually go with what the text said,a borrower will have to sell to a put option and a lender will buy a call option,Payment-Put option,Receipt-Call option….
Ok, borrower put and lender call. Interest rate hedging is fine. I will remember the sentence.

I have finished 2nd revision of PYQ. I’m on my final revision, still blurrrrrrr.
Doing PYQ from Dec 2010 till June 2014. This is our final week for revision. I will log in every 3 hrs. We should be practising our time management, finishing questions in 3 hours.
