Are the syllabus updated and sufficient for self study? Besides utilizing revision kits and CBE platform, I feel that open tuition is pretty simplified.
The notes together with the lectures are more than sufficient to get to grips with all the essential topics, as a basis to be able to attempt questions. Not every point of every answer to every question will be found in the course, but students will glean these from published answers with sufficient question practice.
