Unconventional cash flows occur when there is a mix of in flows and out flows.. If the first two cash flows are outflows followed by a consecutive flow of inflows does that still count as conventional??

Yes, that is still conventional.
If would be unconventional if, for example, there was an outflow followed by an inflow but then followed by an outflow.
