Hello sir,
I wanted to ask if I send my answers via email can you please assess them and let me know my mistakes as I want to know where in lack. This will be my 4th attempt of p7 in March. Marks for first 3 attempts are 34,47,49 respectively.
I will be thankful for thisJanuary 19, 2017 at 2:23 pm #368325Javeria, I’m sorry but there’s no way that I’m going to open that door!
Can you imagine the stretch on the limited resources of opentuition were we to offer a marking service?
It is unconscionable, sorry
Is there no mileage to be gained from getting an acquaintance who is already qualified to look over your answers?
Or are you not able yourself to appraise critically your performance when you compare your effort with the printed solution?
Your marks are getting progressively, tantalisingly close
Just think … one more correct, valid, markable, relevant sentence would have done it for you
Now’s the time for you to re-assess your examination technique and maybe move away from the approach that has let you down in those last three efforts
What do you think?
January 31, 2017 at 1:46 pm #370366@Imtiaz, I am having similar case with you, my marks were 38,46 and 49. I believed if not that, the december exam was so time pressured, we could have cleared it. Anyway, as Mike has adviced, we need to do a little more in March to make p7 a thing of the past.
January 31, 2017 at 2:15 pm #370370It sounds to me that you need to review radically your exam technique
You keep bemoaning time pressure and relying upon that as the reason for you failing to gain the pass mark
But thousands of students do that same exam at exactly the same time as you and thousands seem to pass. Yet they too have just the exact same length of time as you
You have a specified length of time available to you … get used to it!
January 31, 2017 at 2:27 pm #370372Noted, Thanks Mr Mike. However, the time pressure effect varies base on ones preparedness. I am sure, you will agree with me that no 2 p7 papers will have exactly the same level of time pressure. All those who wrote the december exam are a testimony to this.
January 31, 2017 at 3:45 pm #370384You surely cannot claim lack of preparedness causing the time pressure! You’ve taken this exam three times already! Just how much more prepare do you imagine you could be?
I would be prepared to bet money on the fact that the cause of your continuing inability to achieve the pass mark is poor examination technique!
January 31, 2017 at 4:20 pm #370397With due respect Mr. Mike, I cannot argue further on this matter with such an expert like you, For example its just last week, I knew that Examiners Article is published after every exam and I have quickly read it. Moreso, I have been taking this paper with other papers in previous attempts, concentrating more on the other papers to the disadvantage of p7, except the last sitting which I used 8 Weeks preparation to write alone. However, I will definately review my exam techniques, and improve as necessary. Thanks
January 31, 2017 at 8:32 pm #370435You’re very welcome. By accepting the need to review your approach you’ve just taken the first step towards that necessary improvement
Post on this forum again whenever you feel the need

February 2, 2017 at 9:02 am #370732Danish – what has your post got to do with the thread title “Unable to clear p7 even in 3rd attempt”
When you have a question that you wish to ask, please start your own thread
In answer to your question … there’s nothing to lecture other than the chapter on the new audit reports
The rest of your preparation for the next 3 weeks should be concentrated on reading questions and answers from a revision kit / exam kit together with examiner’s reports and technical articles
