    Hi guys,

I would like your thought on this. I am planning to take this paper on September 2022 without any knowledge from the UK taxation paper since I did not take the UK version of taxation paper. I have four months to prepare. Will I be able to pull it off? I know that I would need to capture the tax knowledge from the taxation applied skill paper.

Think you are trying to convey that you took another version of the taxation paper? To a large extent this is not a significant problem. The advanced taxation paper is a significantly large paper in and of itself and you can be tested on taxation material. However, many people will have to revise taxation, especially if they have not studied it for a while. I would use this website’s lecture videos and notes to study UK taxation before embarking on Advanced taxation study. This might take a significant amount of time. Believe someone indicated there are around sixty hours of video lectures for this subject. After you have done this you can study advanced taxation. The overall process will be a big task but should be possible. Hope this helps.

Thanks, mrjonbain. That clears up a whole lot of my concerns. Now I know what needs to be done to pass the ATX.
