Hello tutor, I hope you are doing well.

I am going through a tough phase of my life and I find it difficult to focus but I know how much completing ACCA means to me. I really have to finish it up as soon as possible. Im left with SBR, APM, AAA and SBL. Right now for june attempt could you guide me, shall i pick up ATX which is mostly calculation, memorising rules and application of those rules. It will take a lot of my time and I truly dont know whether I will be able to spare time when Im mostly stressed out. Or should I take theory which is as difficult as any paper but I wouldnt have to solve each and every calculation part like atx. I dont have a choice to postpone the exams as this is what will get me out of all mess.

    Please help.

It’s truly hard to advise you as I don’t know where your strengths and interests lie or what experience you have.

However, I would suggest you avoid ATX because it does not seem to be a topic you really want to do. In addition, here at OT we do not support that subject.

SBR has many rules arising from IFRS’s etc. AAA also requires quite detailed knowledge of auditing standards. Both SBL and APM rely less on knowledge and more on question practice and technique. Perhaps, for June for for APM? There are certainly some models and techniques to learn, but the best method is to first approach questions form a common sense point of view then support your answers with theoretical knowledge where applicable. Questio practice is vey important indeed.

Do not buy a text book. Use our notes and lectures and make use of the ACCA videos that guide you on how to approach this exam and answer the questions. You must buy a revision kit to provide adequate question practice.
