beginning 3000
end of period 2200
replacement 340

I quite confuse on this type of question.
Sometimes should using 3000-340-2000?
I found the answer 13.1% *340/[(3000+2200)/2]*100

I am not sure what is confusing you since the question specifically says that 340 were replaced.
