IS employee an asset of a company ?? If YES then why don’t we treat them according to IAS 16 or IAS 38 ?? and if NO then why NO ??
No, because the employer does not control the employee – he / she can leave their employment at any time. Therefore, because control is absent, an emloyee does not satisfy the definition of an asset ( see the Framework for the definition – or look at OT course notes )
