What is the meaning of tranferability of shares?
how can shares be freely traded on a stock exchange without the consent of the shareholders?
Shares on the stock exchange can be traded freely. If someone wants to sell they can. If they don’t want to sell they don’t have to – unless there is a takeover in progress where, if enough shareholders vote for it, the remaining must sell at the takeover price offered.
Thanks for the explanation professor
