I would like to choose topic number 13 (An evaluation of the contribution made by human resource activities to the attainment of business and financial objectives) for my RAP preparation. I am concerned that there is not much accounting stuff to be included in my RAP because it is more HR focused. Could you advise me how could I make it more focused on accounting or is it okay if there is not much accounting part in it?
Thank you
Do a football club and then consider the number of goals / revenue earned and also the fans
In relation to HR activity around player acquisition and managers
Yes you are right, it is not much related to accounting or finance. You need to analyse contribution of HR in achieving:
– Business objectives
– Financial objectives
Business objectives will depend on the organisation, industry and its own chosen objectives.
The financial part can be related to accounting or finance. For example, revenuew per HR employee over some years is growing or declining. You can check, if performance appraisal is the part of HR then increase in salaries/benifits resulted in more revenue over the years. You can also analyse financial incentives, if decided by HR how they are doing for betterment of organisation. Whether their system of reward is good or not. For this you can use models also but do not forget the topic you are doing and objectives you will select for your RAP. You need to achieve both of these for a successful RAP.
Thank You.
