    Hi guys,

    Can someone let me know how do I reference correctly the data I use for my graphs when the data and graphs are created on a supporting excel sheet and just copy them onto the main RAP.
    Do I reference the data on the main RAP or on the excel sheet and how?

    Many thanks,

    Z

    @zsanett

    Referencing works like you need to refer the figures and paragraphs you are writing not graphs (Remember graphs are those for your ratios not the one such as inflation rates and other pictures and data from internet, you need to refer them). If you are stating:

    Ratio X% increased to Y% because ABCD then refer this through either appendix number or direct to annual reports as:

    (Annual Report 2011) or (Appendix 1, 2 or 3)

    You can refer annual reports through list of references in appendices. Write website and links in list of references and refer it to appendices and refer appendices to research report.

    Thank You.

    Many thanks for your reply.

    So if I have an excel sheet with a tab where I list the figures from the annual accounts and another tab where I create my graphs, would I need to reference only the data taken from the annual accounts and then refer the graphs on the main RAP through the appendix?

    @zsanett

    No need to refer graph. Just paste links in list of references and refer appendices to list of references. Graph should be presented only in report not appendices, it contains only financials, ratios measurement basis and calculation.

    Thank You.

    OK, and if let’s say I have a spread sheet with 1 tab where I list the figures from the financial statement would I need to have the ratio computations on a different tab and name the tabs as appendix 1, appendix 2?

    Thank you

    @zsanett

    Yes, have different appendix for ratios and separate for financials.

    Thank You.

    Hi

    What do you mean by graphs should only be presented in report and not in appendix? I thought we have to make graphs in excel and copy to report? Therefore, the excel will also have the graph.

    Another question, can we only have 1 excel spreadsheet for all the financial statements and ratio calculations? However, that 1 spreadsheet will be line divided into appendix 1 : financial statements, appendix 2: ratio, appendix 3: graphs.

    Is this ok?

    @ngswr

    You do not need to give copy of graphs in excel. You have to give financial statements of company and competitor, ratios and its formulas with measurement basis.

    You can have separate sheets.

    Thank You.
