    Hello

I am confused about the requirement for using latest financial statements for Topic 8.

I want to submit my RAP this November but the company that I have selected after a lot of preliminary research has the financial year-end of 31 December. So the latest annual report that I have is 31 December 2018. The competitor company also has the same year-end.

Is this acceptable (recent enough) for use in my project if I want to submit in November, or should I wait for 31 December 2019 annual report, which will be published next year and I will have to submit in May 2020 if that’s the case?

    TIA

That will be fine – 3 years up to 31 December 2018 is within the rules.

Hi, I’ve got a similar question but for topic 18, would it be okay to use the financial statements for the year ended July 2018 instead for the year ended July 2019? Thanks!

@shawn15 – that will normally be fine (the strict rules apply only to Topics 8 & 15). With Topic 18 you are expected to show information about market share and revenue in relation with sales and promotion costs (trends).
