    Hi guys!
    What do you think of taking P3 and P5 exams in one session? I`ve heard that these papers are similar to each other.
    Does anybody have such experience?

    The opposite of possible is impossible, but look at it differently and you see ‘I’m possible’. 🙂

    I hope you`ll su?ceed in both exams 🙂
    Could you please share your experience – was it easy to prepare for P3 and P5 simultaneously? Did you face any difficulties? Your piece of advice will be very valuable for me

    @springtime,
    let me give a feel for it.

    balanced score card, BCG model, Ratio analysis ( 3 of which featured in the last exam for both paper p3 & p5), Performance Pyramid, Building Block, SWOT analysis etc are frequently examined in both papers.

    Though it is commonly acknowledged that there is a big overlap btw the 2 papers, it may be more appropriate to treat the 2 papers differently (angryhamtro comment above reffered).

    My advice: at the very onset, do well to establish this overlap area then paln your appropriately. Doing this will enable you to be more effective in your study. The idea is for you to kill birds with a stone. Please note that the 2 Examiners have different exam style, it’s important you familiarise your with Examiners approach.

    Best wishes!

    Its very possible but only you have to be a little bit careful.
    P3 is all about analysis and P5 is Performance Management & Measurement.
    Similarities are in the Models to use. P5 you apply the models to the given scenario.
    P3 you use the models to a given Scenario. I only see the Performance Pyramid, Building Block, Performance Prism examined in P5. Ratio analysis, SWOT, PESTEL, BCG,BSC, in both papers so the overlap but as I said the difference is in analysis and Performance and measurement. The current examiners have there different interests and particularly Alex Watt of P5 is totally unpredictable and looks like has changed the P5 all together. There are topics which are purely P5 like Six Sigma, Quality, EVA and topics purely P3 like Project management… Then topics which overlap like the models mentioned and CSF, Performance Hierarchy,
    But its ok to take them together and also look at the Examiners styles of setting
