Hi I did the P2 exam in june and did very well so i think i can give my opinion on whether to do Int exam or own country’s exam.In my case i did the uk exam as i want to get P7 uk auditor qualifications. Some tutors say it is best to do just the Int paper as it will be easier ie less to learn. Yes there is less to learn but in my case for uk exams not a lot more. If all the examples are taken out there is maybe 30 pages of extra text in the supplement. In return for this extra studying of 30 pages you are guaranteed anything between about 7 to 15 marks if you have learned your stuff. The same questions also seem to repeat as there is not a massive range of topics.Learning the supplement also helps learn the Int topics to which it relates. In summary therefore i think was very advantageous for me to do the uk P2 exam and no-one should be worried about doing the exam relating to their own country if the extra supplement is not to much.
