?
HI
Due to the time constraints on this exam, it may happen that we need to leave calculations and write so that we can earn some marks for our written portion. My strategy if I’m spending too much time on calculations:
1. Stop calculations and write down an assumption
2. Base any written portion then on those assumptions.
Therefore I need to breakdown my time per question into calculations and written.
Does anyone know the average number is marks in the AFM exam for the written content and the calculations? That way I can apportion time accordingly.
Thanks
The split of marks between calculations and writing changes in each exam and so there is no point in using an average.
Since each question in every exam shows the marks for each of the sections, you can allocate your time specifically to the exam you are taking – allowing 1.8 minutes per mark.
