Sir is it compulsory for us to know the tick method of solving futures and options questions? I mean can the examiner ask us to specifically use that method to arrive at the right answer?
As I explain in my lectures, you do not have to use ticks (I never do). I suppose the examiner could ask you to explain what is meant by 1 tick (although I doubt he will) but he would not require you to do the calculations using ticks – that is up to you depending on what you find the easiest to remember.
