Long association: The engagement partner for the company has been in place for 12 years.
Familiarity and self interest threats are created.
I understand why a familiarity threat is created but i dont understand why a self interest threat is created. Could you explain sir ?
Perhaps the partner and finance director have become friends (implied by familiarity) and the partner does not want to lose a friend by modifying the audit report.
