Hi Kim,
Good morning to you.
In the exam do I have to write the standard name alongside the standard number? For example, I wanted to quote some guidance on first-time adoption of a policy by an entity from IAS 8. should I just mention “per IAS 8 accounting policies…blah blah the standard name” or I will just say, “per IAS 8…then continue”.
secondly, when such a quotation or reference is made where would it count in the professional marks?
Thanks.
Q1 short answer – no. See here for explanation https://opentuition.com/topic/isa-11
Q2 – there are professional marks for appropriate application of technical standards. But as explained above you don’t have to cite a standard in order to apply it.
Got it. thanks
You’re welcome!
