Which of the following is correct?
a. During the notice period, the employee is entitled to pay at no less than the lowest rate earned in the previous 12 weeks.
b. Either party may waive their entitlement to notice, or accept a payment in lieu of notice.
c. If dismissed with proper notice, the employee is entitled to no explanation from the employer.
Sorry Tutor, I cannot see this in the chapters.
option a) would have been correct if it had read “… at no less than the AVERAGE rate earned in the previous 12 weeks”
option c) whatever form a dismissal takes, a dismissed employee is entitled to request a written statement of the reasons for the dismissal
option b) is the correct choice
Thanks so much. I owe you a lot.
You owe me nothing – just pass!
It’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to help 🙂
(But, when you’re a CEO of some major international organisation, you may think about sending a donation to OpenTuition!)
It is really in my plan to donate once i achieve this promising ACCA! Thank you Tutor.
