Hi all,
I want to know if this happens often….
Long story short, in the June 2019 exam sitting I experienced technical issues which wiped my exam answers – with a minute to go! I was told they had retrieved my answers but the 1 minute I had left of the exam I wouldn’t get back (and I couldn’t review my answers).
On results day I got an email to say they couldn’t mark my exam because they couldn’t retrieve the answers due to the technical issue.
They are crediting my ACCA account with the £108 cost of the exam and a £30 “Goodwill” gesture. (however the exams have now gone up to £120, so my Goodwill gesture just became £18)
I told them they will need to pay me for the day unpaid off work I will need for the exam, but they wouldn’t budge on the fact it’s their policy that they can only give a max of £30 as they are a not for profit organisation. Looks like I’m going to have to be out of pocket for THEIR error.
Can anyone let me know if they have had any similar issues to me, and how they resolved it – if they did?! I struggle to believe they can let one of their MEMBERS be out of pocket massively for something completely out of my control. I’m so disheartened by this 🙁
