Hello! I just wanted some opinions and advices. If I start studying for taxation now, will I be able to complete it and then sit for march 2022 exam? As the portion is very vast and lengthy and there are too many rules to remember. Is taxation simpler than f5 and f7?? Or is it tougher?
Thank you.
If you download the syllabus https://www.accaglobal.com/pk/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f6/syllabus-study-guide.html – look at the planning guidance here https://www.accaglobal.com/pk/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f6/planning-your-study.html – including preparing for yourself a study plan you – and you alone – can say whether you can prepare for it in time for March.
You should, however, be aware, that the TXUK syllabus and tax rates and allowances all change from JUNE (rather than September, which is the norm for all other exams); therefore, to fail in a March session means having to learn new Finance Act provisions for a resit in June.
I would say that TX is, perhaps, easier for many students as it is highly computational and very rules-based – however, it does require you to learn a lot of rules and details(!)
Thank you so much.
You are very welcome!
