If tax is delayed on year, the tax relief capital allowance should be delayed as well is it?
But in the Neptune question, JUNE 2008, the tax relief wasn’t delayed.
I would have delayed it – in general it should be delayed.
(The examiner would argue that the wording of the sentence in the question suggests that the affect was simply one year after the investment, but this was the previous examiner and in several of his questions he seemed not to fully understand tax rules 🙂 )
