Firstly, i want to acknowledge your eloquence and composure on the screen. This is really relieved me on this topics. many of us are not from the Uk but we subscribe to the uk tax system since we are ACCA student.
You made mentioned of whether we are from uk or any where but there are different tax system in different countries, does this not affect us should we choose to be tax experts?
Also, what actually is National insurance contribution since we pay different taxes on our income? What is the reason behind this other than government avenue for revenue.
You also wrote in your note concerning the position of the paper f6 in the overall syllabus that accountants should apply tax planning techniques for individual and companies, please, what does the means?
Thanks.
December 17, 2017 at 3:14 am #423778Iyamu thank you for your note and it would appear that you are now just starting out with your studies for F6, which from the previous 2 questions I have just responded to was apparent.
You will need to study each chapter in detail which will then give you the knowledge that you need to be able to deal with that subject in the exam.
You need therefore to take things one step at a time working through each chapter, where applicable with the lectures and working the examples provided and not worrying about questions that arise out of chapters that you have not yet studied – you need to learn to walk before you are able to run.
Your final query about tax planning – this is where action will be taken wherever possible using exemptions, allowances and reliefs to be able to reduce the amount of tax payable by a taxpayer whether the the taxpayer is an individual or a company – you will learn about these issues as you work through the chapters.
So stop worrying about issues that you have not yet studied and take a methodical approach working through your notes and lectures one chapter at a time – good luck with your studies!
I assume you are planning to sit the exam in March 2018? - AuthorPosts
