    Sir,
This query relates to a problem i was trying on BPP revision kit, page 16, question 58.
I understand the entire question except the additional information 2.
If you have a BPP revision kit with you you can navigate to the page number and question number as mentioned above.
If you do not have a revision kit, here is the sentence that im not able to understand.

” Direct labour cost: the webcam uses 45 minutes of direct labour, which costs $34.67 per hour. The use of more standard parts, however, will mean that whilst the first unit would still be expected to take 45 minutes, there will now be an expected rate of learning of 90% (where ‘b’ =-0.152). This will end after the first 100 units have been completed”.

This second sentence from the paragraph is confusing me a lot, please help me understand as to what it is trying to imply.

Because there is learning, the time per unit will fall from 45 minutes per unit (until they have produced 100 units – from then on the time will stay the same per unit as it is for the 100th unit).

Have you watched my free lectures on learning curves? You can calculate the average time per unit for the first 100 units by using the formula. You can calculate the time for the 100th units by calculating the time to make 100 units and subtract the time to make 99 units.

How to do these calculations is all explained in my free lectures on learning curves.
(The lectures are a complete free course for Paper F5 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.)
