I didnt understand the second part of your lecture of why its difficult to reduce costs in service industries due to those factors

    Intangibility
    Simultaneity
    Variabiliy
    Perishibility
    No transfer of ownership

Can u please clear the reasons why its difficult to reduce cost due to those factors which i just mentioned above??

Study from the new lectures – they use the same lecture notes and work through the same examples.

With target costing for service industries, the problem is not that it is difficult to reduce costs, but that it is difficult to determine the costs. The new lecture explains the terms intangibility etc..
