    Hi,

Do no entries or exam fails go on your acca record?

Would I be able to book P2, P3 and P7 and only intend to do P2 and P7?

Would there be any negatives by doing this? other than the wasted exam entry fee.

My main reasons for wanting to do this is because audit (p7) will be fairly fresh in my mind from having just sat f8 and also the fact that the exams are spread apart, unlike P2 and P3 which are on consecutive days.

I do not see why ACCA would not just allow people to take this option or similar, especially if they have already done 10/14 exams

Your proposed entry strategy would work – the only downside is the one you have identified – the cost of a wasted exam entry fee.

As for your final point “I don’t see why ……” – well, what can I say? You’re not going to change it so you may as well accept the status quo and live with it 🙂

    Thanks,

So is this a common route to take?

Employers will not be able to see if you have failed an or not sat an exam right?

Are p2 and p7 good exams to sit together in terms of study?

I don’t know about the public knowledge side of a fail. Certainly if you don’t show up for an exam, that doesn’t go on your record. But a fail must do. When you look at your status on the ACCA website (myacca?) you’ll see that a fail is marked as such (I seem to remember) but a no-show isn’t recorded

There’s a lot of P2 in a P7 exam so in that respect there is a certain degree of cross-over.
    Hope that helps
