When Jenny extracted her trial balance at 31 May 2011 she opened a suspense account, as the total of the debit balances was $400 less than the total of the credit balances.
She then discovered that:
(i) she had listed a $200 credit balance as a debit balance; and
(ii) a cash sale for $400 had been correctly recorded in the cash account, but no other entry had been made.
When these errors are corrected, what will the debit balance on the suspense account be?
A $1,200
B $1,000
C $800
D $400
Help me to solve this one. Thanks.
$400
