    Hello Mr Mike,

I am planning to sit for P7 (1st sitting) in Sept 17.

But I have failed P4 in June 17 sitting with 43 marks. Is it advisable for me to resit for P4 in Sept 17 along with P7?

    I can’t answer that, sorry!

The answer depends on so many different considerations that only you know the answer to!

What other demands are there on your time between now and September? Family, friends, sports, socialising, work, outside commitments, support from family and friends, your own drive and ambition, motivation …

Was that your first time with P4? Do you understand WHY you failed (other than the fact that you didn’t get enough marks!)

P7 preparation involves a LOT of reading and very little in the way of calculations so it could be a handy break away from revising for a calculation paper (I know very little about P4)

4 weeks reading and 2 weeks question practice should be enough preparation for P7 but can you combine that with the effort necessary to pick up enough extra marks in P4?

    Only you can tell

    OK?
