Hey sir can you please say what audit procedures can the auditor perform to gain assurance over the rights & obligations of receivables.
We are talkng about rights here, not obligations. Rights here means finding evidence that the debt is owing to the company
So, trace from receivable back to despatch note and order to establish its source.
Trace to subdequent receipt of the payment.
Inspect copy statements sent to customers.
